Designing and implementing an effective Risk Appetite strategy, was the influential topic discussed in Xactium’s most recent workshop. Hosted in London and Leeds, the workshops were well attended by 30 risk representatives from a wide variety of organisations across the financial services sector.
This interactive seminar explored the fundamentals of risk appetite, the key challenges involved in defining a risk appetite framework and provided insight into some practical approaches to capturing and monitoring risk appetite using Xactium.
The event was co-hosted by Xactium partners, RiskSpotlight and the first part of the discussion was led by RiskSpotlight co-founder Manoj Kulwal, whose presentation covering the essential principles of Risk Appetite was extremely well received. Andy Evans, Xactium Managing Director, followed with a detailed demonstration of how the Xactium Risk Management system can be used to capture Risk Appetite in practice.
Michael Chambers, Risk Analyst at Equiniti commented: "The risk appetite workshop was very relevant, informative and the speakers were engaging to listen to" .
Xactium workshops are designed to be interactive and attendees are encouraged to bring their experiences and questions to the table. This is one of the most beneficial aspects of the sessions for attendees, as Jon Gerrard, Risk Specialist at Think Money Group affirms: “Xactium briefings are an excellent way of sharing best practice".
The topic of Xactium’s next workshop taking place in London on September 12th, will be ‘Preparing for GDPR’. Look out for more information on this and future workshops by visiting Xactium’s Breakfast Briefings page.
