Xactium and partner Aquarius roll out cloud-based Role Manager solution to tackle complex organisational structure
Xactium, the provider of Governance, Risk and Compliance software and its partner Aquarius Management Consultants has announced the rollout of its cloud-based Role Manager solution. The new product will help HR and Organisation Development (OD) professionals in the public and private sectors to improve organisational efficiency and HR governance using a central record of employee role descriptions, responsibilities, capabilities.
So far, Role Manager has been successfully rolled out at a number of major international banks, including Barclays Africa and is attracting attention from Local Authorities in the UK. During the implementation of the system, one client discovered it had over 40,000 roles across the whole organisation, which was then greatly reduced by managing them in one central place.
Local Authorities required to hold role information for equal pay and benefits analysis, and capability planning, are highlighting a demand for a better way to manage this information. Other public sector organisations undergoing organisational restructuring will also be looking to consolidate their role and job information to better understand their core strengths. The ability to manage a centralized view of organizational roles is increasingly critical for employee engagement, as a driving force for B2E (Business to Employee) communication and service delivery, in addition to providing key information for governance and compliance activities.
Feedback from Barclays Africa, who was announced as a customer at the beginning of the year, included: “The ability to manage roles centrally is a real step forward, and will be a significant benefit to the business. The careers site has also been received extremely well – our employees can now access up-to-date information about careers and current roles via the web. That not only means greater visibility of the different roles within the organization, but will enhance our careers proposition going forward”.
Role Manager stores role and job data securely in the cloud on Force.com platform, the world’s leading cloud platform for social and mobile business apps. A suite of web applications is provided for sharing this information across the workforce, and for undertaking a variety of organizational management and compliance activities. Employees benefit from a fuller understanding of the requirements of their roles and the skills they need within the organization, while the organization has a central “one version of the truth” view of its organizational information. Role Manager also connects with enterprise software systems such as SAP and Cornerstone, for greater organisational oversight.
Xactium CEO, Andy Evans explains the relevance of Role Manager: “Managing role and job information centrally is an imperative for organisations seeking to improve the efficiency of their management and HR governance activities. By connecting employees with this information, organizations can engage staff with career management, learning and development and much more - ultimately leading to greater staff retention.”
