Corporate social responsibility and working with the community
Xactium plays an active part in its community through a volunteer employee engagement programme. We recognise that our people are part of the community and as such are on loan to us so we can make a great team for our business and our customers.
To thank the community we take an active role to give something back by helping our chosen community and charity causes.
Our Current Projects
We have a number of projects in 2009, which include: helping to raise funds for a local Sheffield school for children with special needs, providing support for students undertaking a World Challenge trip to Peru, and raising funds for specialist equipment to help individuals with specific disabilities.
Environment
We also recognise our duty to the earth and the environment and our impact. As a result we try not to print documents unless we really need to, we get the train whenever practical and a few of us are even well-known for turning up to the office under pedal power. It’s a small contribution but every contribution is worthwhile.
Also of course our products have a low impact on the environment and is also helping. Cloud computing has a lower carbon footprint as server processing power and storage are used at an optimum with little waste. And of course, there is no packaging!
